Privacy policy
AI Orbit is an independent publication about platforms that pay experts to train AI. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions or requests: help@joinaiorbit.com.
What we collect
- The Orbit Letter: your email address, which sign-up box you used, and the campaign tag of the link you came from.
- Fit review: your name, email, field, hours available, LinkedIn link, notes, and the resume you attach, if you attach one.
- Messages: if you email us (or contacted us earlier about a data partnership), your message and address, kept only to reply and deleted when you ask.
- Site usage: page views and which links are clicked, the site that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link you followed. Each visit gets a daily code made by one-way hashing of your connection and browser. It can't be turned back into your address and it changes every day. We use no advertising trackers. Our hosting provider's logs briefly record IP addresses to keep the site secure.
Why we use it
- To send the Letter you asked for.
- To write your fit review: which platforms suit your background, and why.
- To learn which pages and channels are useful, in aggregate.
Who sees it
- Only AI Orbit's operator.
- Our hosting provider (Railway) stores it for us. When the Letter starts sending, our email provider will hold the subscriber list to send it.
- We never sell your information, and we never send your resume or details to any platform. If you apply somewhere, you do it yourself.
- We may publish aggregate, anonymous figures (for example, "most fit-review requests come from accountants"). Never anything that identifies you.
How long we keep it
- Fit-review details and resumes: deleted within 12 months of the day you send them, or sooner if you ask.
- Letter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
- Usage records: stored as individual page-view and click entries, tagged only with the daily code above and never with your name or email.
Your choices
- Delete or see your data: email help@joinaiorbit.com from the address you used. We act on it within 10 business days.
- Unsubscribe: every Letter has a one-click unsubscribe link, honored right away.
- Do Not Track: we don't follow you across other sites, so a Do Not Track signal doesn't change anything here.
Cookies and storage
The site stores the campaign tags of your visit for that browser session, and remembers if you closed the email bar. It sets no cookies for visitors. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser requests them.
Other things to know
- AI Orbit is run from the United States and is meant for adults (18+).
- Links to platforms take you to their sites, where their own privacy policies apply.
- If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
